The Team

Alexandre Bechard, CFA

Managing Partner

Alexandre is a CFA Charterholder.
He gained experience while working for an international bank where he contributed to a number of Leverage Buy Outs (LBOs), property structuring and syndicated transactions.
Alexandre subsequently moved to head the credit and risk department of a South African SME lending business. There, he participated in the setting up of new ventures, in the acquisition of one of a leading asset rentals business from the largest Pan African bank, and in building the team of analysts across three jurisdictions.
In 2018, he co-founded and successfully launched Mauritius’ #1 crowdlending marketplace. 

Alexandre launched BYRD Consulting in 2019 with the aim to help entrepreneurs and businesses lay strong foundations for their medium term growth path.

Ludovic Rajibe, CFA

Corporate Finance Principal | Director

Ludovic began his career at PwC in the Transaction Services department, contributing to landmark M&A with a focus on hospitality and financial services. He then specialized in equity valuation for investee companies across Africa and Asia, supporting global private equity and venture capital audits.

Ludovic later joined a private equity fund, driving investments in infrastructure, agriculture, and hospitality projects in Africa. 

As co-founder and COO of Fundkiss, Mauritius's first peer-to-peer lending platform, Ludovic facilitated capital raising efforts with angel investors and family offices while handling the operations of the company.

Ludovic has recently joined Byrd & Partners as a Non-Executive Director.

Thierry Bechard

Leadership Transformation Partner

After moving back to Mauritius in 1987, from South-Africa, where he qualified as a Metallurgical Engineer, he co-founded Pex Hydraulics Mauritius in 1994.

Always passionate about computers, management and leadership, in 2015, he started his new career as a Asana Partner first and then as a Management Consultant, helping entrepreneurs achieve what they want from their business. 

In 2020, he was also appointed Training Manager at VFS International, to train newly recruited Financial Advisers. 

Thierry’s purpose is to solve his clients’ problems and helping them achieve their objectives. 

Ludovic Mamet

Digital Transformation Partner

Ludovic is a visionary entrepreneur and strategic innovation advisor who specializes in preparing businesses for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).  His expertise lies in identifying opportunities for leveraging technology and innovation to drive growth and efficiency.  


As a Partner at Byrd, Ludovic's approach is  centered around understanding the unique needs of each business and proposing tailored strategies that align with their objectives.  


His strategic insight and adaptability make him an invaluable partner for companies looking to stay ahead in the 4IR.
